Sheboygan Area Fishing Report

Sheboygan fishing report 5/29/26- 5/31/26 Friday- fishing finally heated up for us in Sheboygan and we had our customers limit by 6am and the crews limits back by 7:30. Took a number of fish on high lines running a variety of Docs Custom 5.5” flashers with slider flies but the majority of our bites came on the bigger 8” flashers with 4” flies. The majority of our fish (all species but a brown trout) came on the larger baits 35-60 down in the column. We didn’t do much on green flashers but flashers with blue/green combinations from JM Poundtown Tackle and a collaboration of Docs Customs and Chris’s fishing tech “Blue Bam” has been a staple in our early season program paired with Slammin Salmon flies. We started in 80fow south of town and leveled off in 115-120fow where the concentration of the fish seemed to be. Saturday- ran a pretty similar program to the day before but a bit heavier ratio of the bigger flasher/fly combos. We ran a few spoons yet but we haven’t had more than 1 or 2 bites a trip on those. Similar depth but did find fish in as far as 85’ as well. Sunday- on my day off I decided to launch off the beach near Cedar Grove solo in my kayak. Headed north a short ways toward Oostburg catching 2 nice kings in roughly the 50’ down range in 90-100fow. Downrigger with a 4lb ball out 60 and torpedo diver setup out 110 took the 2 fish with one coming on flasher flies.. the Blue Bam again and one on Green Jeans on a green chrome sunglassed blank from Chris’s Fishing Tech.
