Frankfort Area Fishing Report
Frankfort Area Report: The week of September 1 has been great fishing. Kings have been plentiful both inside and outside the pier heads. J-plugs on 3-5 color outside the pier heads have been most productive. Jigging in Betsie bay has been productive as well. There are some coho in Platte bay, and many more yet to come. A few have made their way into Platte River as well. Casting Arctic spinners, trolling J-plugs, and jigging have all produced limits for us this week. We have even seen a few caught surf fishing when the water temperature is right. We have seen a few really good catches from the Betsie river this week. Fish continue to make their way over Homestead dam continously. Skain under floats, and casting "sticks" is most productive as usual.
